Danvers High School
Renovation and Addition
(Completed March 2014)

Total Area: 157,000 square feet (existing) and 92,000 SF addition

The Danvers High School Project included a multi-phased construction schedule, including structural demolition, extensive renovations, and an addition to the existing structure.

The project was divided into three major phases.  Phase 1 was an enabling phase, and included abatement and demolition of a centralized building core.  Phase II included extensive renovations of the existing 157,000 GSF three-story classroom wing, where the structural shell of the building was salvaged, and complete new interiors and building envelope were constructed.  Phase III of the project included the abatement and demolition of an adjacent middle school, as well as a 92,000 GSF addition within the same footprint. The project was completed under occupied conditions.
