Great news the last pour was a great success! I am excited to say the project is coming along great and we are preparing for our second slab placement on May 4, 2018. I have included the same Information as before in case anyone wanted a refresher on the procedures for the slab placement.
In a continuing effort to keep the abutters of the new ECEC project apprised of construction activities, I wanted to reach out to inform you of the process and procedure for upcoming slab placements. We discussed the need for longer days at our kick-off meeting for activities like this as concrete has specific requirements for pouring, setting, and finishing. We anticipate at least three concrete pours that will need extended hours as outlined below. Please know this is an approximate itinerary and times may exceed the times listed below or be shorter depending on how quickly the concrete hardens. When placing concrete slabs the ability to finish the slabs is critical to the process. The noise from 3pm to 9pm would be for the use of power trowels. The power trowels are a gas powered piece of equipment used to finish concrete. We will do everything in our power to keep the noise to a minimum.
6:00 am – We will begin setting up the pump truck
6:45 am – The first concrete truck arrives at the site
2:00 pm – The last concrete truck will be arriving at the site
3:00 pm – The pump truck will start breaking down
3:30 pm – The pump truck will be leaving the site
9:00 pm – The slabs will be finished and all powered equipment will be shut off*” This is the anticipated time this could be earlier or later depending on the workability of the concrete.”
10:00 pm – The gate will be locked and no one else will be on site
“We will be providing 48-hour notice to abutters prior to slab placement, but the contractor is currently projecting a pour for May 4, 2018

Good Afternoon,
I am just confirming that we are still planning to pour tomorrow. The only change will be that around 6:00 AM we will need to remediate some standing water in the area we plan to pour with some pumps, I do not anticipate anyone will even be able to hear this but I wanted to let you all know just in case. Also with the high moisture content in the air and low temperatures we are anticipating the finish work to take longer than listed below, we can not be sure this will happen but I wanted to reach out just to give everyone a heads up that this might happen.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I will provide an update tomorrow during the pour with how everything is going.

Hi All,
The contractor has confirmed the Pour will be Tuesday, April 17. If anything changes I will inform you as soon as possible. Stay tuned for website photos of the pour on or before April 19th.
