(Opened June 2017) Construction Cost: $15,200,000 Total Area: 25,900 GSF Designer: Kaestle Boos Associates, Foxborough, MA Contractor: Hutter Construction, New Ipswich, NH The new, single-story facility is located across from the Hudson Fire Headquarters, creating a municipal campus. The new building is nested between the fire stations and DPW maintenance and storage garages, salt shed, and treatment plant at the rear of the site. This building shares a common main entrance however the building is essentially 2 separate buildings under one roof. The police program includes a secure prisoner processing and detention area, secure evidence processing and storage, offices, roll call room, 3 position dispatch center, fitness room, locker rooms, and training/community room that also serves as an Emergency Operations Center. A pre-engineered metal outbuilding was included for the police department for secure vehicle storage. The DPW program includes offices, conference rooms, a vault, shop space for the water department, and storage. |
